Christian Education for Children - Birth - 12years                                                          Home

Celebration Sunday | Midweek Activities | Covenant Kids!

Celebration Sunday

Noah's Ark (Nursery Birth - 2) and Creation (Toddlers 3 &4)

More than just childcare for babies and toddlers, our structured nursery ministry nurtures little ones physically, emotionally and spiritually. Little ones take their first steps in learning about God, through song, Bible stories, hands on activities and play centers.  There are two areas for children Newborn - 2 years, and 3 & 4 Year olds.  Each group is staffed with rotating groups of weekly  volunteers.

Children's Bible Study
Bible teaching takes place in a large group setting. Using music, practical lessons and games, the children are taught the good news of the cross, Godly values and a growing relationship with Jesus.  The Bible study teachers serve consistently from week to week making learning personal and effective.  There are two groups for children 5-6 and 7-10.

Children & Youth meet from  6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the FCC Building, 265 Belleview Park Rd. each Wednesday August - May.

Dinner is served 5 - 6 PM.  Make your reservation by contacting Debbie Wylupek,

Covenant Kids! serves children ages Birth - 12 years.

Our goal is to grow young believers in the Word by planting seeds through Bible study, games, music and discussion.  We are also here to encourage children to build relationships and to stand strong in their faith at home and in the community.  We believe this ministry will build strong children who grow into focused teenagers leading to serving adults in the Body of Christ.

This group is served by  Dan & Georgeanne Scheiffelin, 369-2258.

Registration

We ask that parents or guardians of all children and youth complete a registration and give it to their child's teacher or caregiver.   Registration forms can be found in the brochure holder by the bulletin boards on the North end of the building.

Please give us details specific to your child(ren) as to any special needs, allergies, disabilities, or family background that will enable us to minister more effectively to your child.  There is also a consent and authorization for medical treatment in the event of an emergency in your absence.

This information will be kept confidential and should be updated by parents or guardians as changes occur.

Health and Safety

TLC is our nursery area.  We want an environment that is safe, secure, and healthy for your infants and toddlers.  Please follow these guidelines:

  • SAFE
Clearly mark diaper bags, bottles, cups, and other personal items with your child's name.

  • SECURE
Only parents or guardians should sign babies and toddlers in and out of the nursery.

  • HEALTHY
Please keep your children with you if they have symptoms like:

Coughing    Runny Nose     Fever     Rash     Open Sores

Positive, Reasonable Rules

Good rules are positive and teach children what to do and the moral reason why - they protect children and others.

Parents should...

  • Not leave children unattended in the nursery.  There must be an adult or responsible caregiver in the nursery with children.

  • Supervise young children at all times.

  • Assist children with food and drinks at serving tables.  Children should not serve hot beverages by themselves.

  • Supervise children while they worship with banners (flags) or other worship implements and while they dance.  Discuss safety and discretion with your children as they learn to worship creatively.

Children and Youth should...

  • Not run in the building or in and out of doorways.

  • Use soft voices inside.

  • Use kind words to solve problems.  No hitting, biting, kicking, or name calling.

  • Should remain inside the building after dark.
